NEW TEAM : SAME FAMILY!

Life is a journey that has many highs and lows, smiles and cries. Each journey has its own sets of risks and rewards, NO two are the exact same. In 2006 I chose Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to be the vehicale I use to travel down my road in life. The team I linked up with was Gracie Barra with Master Nelson Monteiro and Professor Rafael 'Foca' Ramos. These two men represented a clean and purposeful life that I always wanted, but, did not know how to achieve myself. Through training at their academy I learned many things about myself which helped me build a great sense of self-worth and a massive desire to be the best I can be in everything I do in life!

My decision to 'step out' on my own and create my own school was a pure branding decision with no personally based issues. In my heart (and my skin with tattoos) I will always be a GB team member because they started me on this BJJ journey and for that I am forever great full. I have never been one to conform or fall in line. From a very young age I always wanted things done my way, the older I get, nothing changes. The changing of names and logos on my school does nothing but push me even harder because now, all the responsibility is on my shoulders to succeed of fail!

This transformation is being done with blessings from all of Gracie Barra and most importantly my coaches Master Nelson Monteiro and Professor Rafael 'Foca' Ramos. I do not want anyone to speculate or question the motives or the process. I AM Gracie Barra and all my BJJ knowledge will be from them and their spectacular training staff as long as I have legs to carry me to training!

I would like to extend a huge thank you to Master Nelson Monteiro, Professor Rafael 'Foca' Ramos, Jaco Clothing, Mike Murphy, Ryan 'RyRobb' Robinson, Tommy Tadeo and my daddy 'Papa E' for the blessing and continued support in reaching my dreams and taking this journey with me! I. WILL. NOT. LET. YOU. ALL. DOWN.!!!
